Pourquoi? J’ ai commencé à chercher un projet SVE dans la dernière année de mes études à 2009. Je ne voulais pas encore travailler, étais fatigué d’être étudiant et n’avais pas l’argent pour voyager. Donc pourquoi pas essayer d’être bénévole avec SVE en France, Angleterre ou peut-etre Chile?

Mais éventuellement j’ai fait une chose différent. J’ai travaillé à Belgique pour quelques mois et après j’ai voyagé en Amérique du Sud.

L’été dernier j’ai commencé à travailler intérim à Belgique. Et c’étais dans ce moment là où j’ai reçu un e-mail : ‘en raison d’annulation nous recherchons une jeune belge qui serait intéressé pour faire une SVE à Brioude’. Une mois plus tard je suis arrivé à Brioude !

ENG :
Why? I first started looking for an EVS project in the last year of my studies in 2009. I didn’t want to work yet, was tired of being a student and didn’t had the money to travel. So why not do some volunteering with EVS in France, England or maybe Chile?

But eventually things went differently. I spend the next year working in Belgium and travelling through South-America.

Last summer I arrived back in Belgium and started working interim. That’s when I received an e-mail: ‘due to cancelation, urgent need of new EVS volunteer in Brioude with Belgian nationality’. One month later I arrived in Brioude!

FR:
Qu'ai-je fait? Je suis déjà à la France pour 3 semaines. A Brioude j'ai rencontré beaucoup de gens, vu beaucoup de neige et travaillé au café lecture.





EN:
What have I been doing? I’ve been in France for 3 weeks now. In Brioude I’ve met a lot of people, saw a lot of snow and worked at the Café Lecture.


FR:
Aussi, je suis allée à Sommières pour la séminaire d’arrivée SVE. J’y ai vu beaucoup de soleil et rencontré des autres bénévoles européennes. Nous avons parlé de sve, nos projets, cultures et appris l’argot français, …

EN:
I've also been to the EVS arrival seminar in Sommières. Where I've seen the sun and other European volunteers. We discussed EVS, our projects, the cultural differences and learned French slang, …







FR:
En attendant nos trains, nous avons eu la chance de visité la ville de Nîmes

EN:
On the way back, while waiting for our trains, we had the chance to visit Nîmes.

Demain je retourne en Belgique pour les vacances. A Bientôt Brioude ... et Joyeux Noël et Bonne Nouvelle Année à tous!

Lyon - La ville des lumieres et des gens nocturne!

FR: Je n'ai jamais vue quelque chose comme ca! Une atmosphère inimaginable crée par des artistes des lumières. Le samedi matin je suis descendu le train et tombé dans un autre monde lequelle me manque un peu! La vie dans une grand ville.
Avec une copine je suis parti à Lyon pour visiter "La Fête Des Lumières"! Nous avons visité la ville, qui est superbelle, une ville parfaite pour faire des études;) Le soir nous avons eu un rendez vous avec des amies et leurs amies. On était un groupe de à peu près 15 personnes (international bien sure)...dans les rue quelles étaient pleine des gens. Il a fait trés trés frois mais chaque dis metre il y avait quelqu'un qui a vendu du vin chaud:) Après on nous a amené sur un bateau sur la rivière (La Rhone) quelle travers Lyon, pour faire la fete. Sans avoir dormi nous avons pris le train le landemain pour rentrer à Brioude. 24h la ville Lyon non stop...magique!!! Je peux la recommander: La ville et la fête des lumières.



ENG: I've never seen a comparable thing! A great atmosphere created by awesome lightart! Last saturday morning I got off the train and entered in a world which I really miss. The feeling of a big city, the energie, kultures and odors!
With a friend I went to Lyon to visit "La Fete des Lumieres". We visited the centre and in the evening we met friends...and their friends so that we were like almost 15 people from very different countries (like always) in the colourfull illuminated streets which were full of people. The night was very cold but furtunately there were poeple selling hot wine like every ten meter. Afterward they took us to a boat-disco on the river (Rohne) which crosses Lyon. Without having had some sleep we went back to Brioude in the morning... Lyon is an awesome city! Perfect for spending time in and to do some studies... I can really recommend the city and "La Fete de la Lumiere"!

Chez moi

EN: There is no other place like home. Sometimes we want to escape, but there is always a time when we want to come back. Sooner or later. My grandmother, who was born and grew up in south of Russia even after living in Lithuania for more than 40 years always says that it is good here, but it is not her home and it will never be. And I think I know what she means. And for me, it is good to be home, even though I already miss Brioude and all the people i met there!
When I look back over these 10 months I spent in France I am so happy to have had this chance to experience so many new things, developing, making new friendships, seeing, exploring, learning.
Seriously, THANK YOU! :)

FR: Il n'y a pas d'autre place comme chez-moi. Parfois on veut quitter, mais il y a toujours un moment quand on veut rentre. Ma grand-mére, qui été neé et a grandi en Russie, même après 20 anns dit que c'est bien Lituanie, mais ce n'est pas comme chez elle. Et je pense que je la comprends. Et pour moi, c'est bien être chez moi malgré que Brioude me manque avec tous les personnes qui j'ai là rencontré.
Quand je pense sur tous les 10 mois qui j'ai passé en France je suis vraiment trés heureuse pour avoir ma chance d'expérience beaucoup des choises, developer, faire bcp des connaisances, voir, explorer, apprendre.
Vraiment, MERCI à VOUS!

EN: And I want to share some pictures from my last visit in decemberly Paris, just before I had this adventurous trip home, thanks to the storming weather and too heavy luggage, which was lost in the end, but found his way home after few days.

FR: Et aussi je voudrais partager quelques photos de ma visite à Paris. C'été juste avant mon partir en Lituanie, le voyage horrible avec de la neige, mon avion annulé, les bagages qui ont été trop lourd et perdu en fin! Mais c'est bon maintenant. Tous dans ses places.

La Fete... un peut bordell!!! Sara la nouvelle SVE... très gentil!!!

FR: Le vendredi vers 19 Sara, la nouvelle bénévolle est arrivée et moi, je suis parti à Clermont Ferrand avec des amis. Je sais, ce n'est pas tres poli mais un concert c'est unique... On a visité le concert de "The EX", c'était super! Et le bar ou on les a vue était extraordinaire aussi! Nous sommes restés la nuit dans les chambres en haut du bar et le landemain nous sommes rentrés à Brioude pour préparer la fete pour le soir! La fete de Neringa (départ) pour Sara (bienvenue):)

ENG: On Friday evening Sara, the new vonlunteer has arrived and I have left for a concert in Clermont Farrand. I know it was not very polite but... We saw "The Ex" live on stage! It was awesome... as well like the bar (Bar Raymond) they played in! We spent the night upstairs in one of the rooms above the bar and left the next morning to Brioude to prepare for the party previewed for the evening. The party of Neringa (departure) for Sara (arrival)!:)

FR: Vers 20h le soir les premières invités sont arrivés. Chaqu'un était demander d'amener quelque chose à boire. A la fin il y avait trop à boire, à tel point que beaucoup des visiteurs étaient bien buree... Heureusement nous avons prépare beaucoup de chose à manger pour neutraliser la consomation des boissons un peut:) Il y avait à peut pres 40-50 personnes qui on bien rigolé et celebré! Il y avait le striptease, danse, karaoke et le piercing. Il n'avait rien manque!

Le landemain je me suis reveillé sur le canapé dans le salon avec un imense mal a la tete en regardant dans un salon sal et en chaos. Fred était un peut en colère, mais je peux le bien comprendre. Le sol dans le salon était buree aussi je pense...

ENG: At 8 p.m. the first visitors have arrived. Everyone was supposed to bring something to drink, so that we had too much in the end. Therefore some people ran arround quite drunk. Fortunately we had prepared a lot of food for the party to neutralize the degrees. There were nearly 40-50 people arround here who celebrated, danced, drank, ate, watched striptise, sang and laughed. Nothing was missing:)

The next morning I woke up on a couch in the living room with a strooong headache looking at the chaos... Fred was a bit angry about it which I can realy understand. I think the wooden floor was quite drunk as well that night concidering the wine and beer spots on it...
